Mr.Longmore：
My name is Marco Longmore and Ihave the privilege of being the founding head of college at fete's college inGuangzhou. I have had 30 years of leadership and school experience across leadu K's leading independent schools and also finding a brand school in the MiddleEast.
我的名字叫Marco Longmore，我有幸成為廣州市斐特思學(xué)校的創(chuàng)辦校長(zhǎng)。我有30年的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)經(jīng)驗(yàn)和學(xué)校管理的經(jīng)驗(yàn)，領(lǐng)導(dǎo)英國(guó)的獨(dú)立學(xué)校，也在中東地區(qū)創(chuàng)建了一個(gè)品牌學(xué)校。

First of all, please share withus your feelings at today's IEIC scene?

Mr.Longmore：
The wonderful thing aboutthe international education innovation conference today is the enthusiasm thatyou can see from parents and from some of their children towards theireducation. It's a real commitment and something that we as educators need tolive up to.

What abilities do you thinkstudents who want to enter elite international schools should have?

Mr.Longmore：
The key ability that they have is a willingness and a desire to learn. I'vejust spoken at conference talking about the need to love learning. At ourschool, we love learning and we want our people to take that forward throughouttheir lives so that as adults and as children, we all continue to grow in ourknowledge and in our experiences.

When parents plan for theirchildren's international education, what kind of school age stage do you thinkis the most suitable?

Mr.Longmore：
The most important part ofpreparing for an international education is to be open to new ideas, to bewilling to take on challenges, and sometimes to be willing to fail in thosechallenges, but also then move on, pick up and return to those challenges forsuccess in the future that open this of mind that purpose that is the key tosuccess within an international school and curriculum.

What's the biggest difference between Chinese schools and westernschools?
中國(guó)本土的學(xué)校和海外的學(xué)校有什么區(qū)別?
Mr.Longmore：
There are many common features in school life and i've seen that across the world.The key part is a commitment in an international school, the exposure to verycorrect column and to inquiry based learning is one of the key features wherewe see growth for our pupils. Inquiry based learning gives the explorationthrough topics and the ability to bring knowledge across from differentsubjects and use projects to develop that. I think that's one of the keyfeatures and some might say advantages of that type of curricular approach.Thank you very well.
