上海西華國際學校國際學士學位中學計劃專為在11到16歲之間的學生設計，旨在幫助學生認識世界，擔負世界公民責任，積極學習如何學習和如何批判性地評估信息。學校所有學生必須足夠有能力用英語用英語完成整個課程的學習。該項目的主要科目有語言、科學。數學、藝術、物理、設計等。
學校目前提供英語、漢語和西班牙語課程，主要通過研究文學鍛煉學生閱讀、寫作、聽力和分析/解釋技能。它還包括視覺圖像和文本的理解。在科學課上學生不僅要物理的基本原理,還要探究地球,生活,化學,環境科學。學生將從實踐的角度,結合實際進行課堂學習。數學包括五個分支數學:號碼、代數、幾何和三角,統計和概率、離散數學。藝術課上學生將學習音樂、戲劇、視覺藝術。
